
Q5D Technologies Ltd. (Portishead, England) has named Scott White, the founder and former CEO of Pragmatic Semiconductor Ltd., as chair of the board of directors.
Q5D, founded in 2018, has adapted 3D printing techniques to automate the assembly of wiring harness. Initially this has been popular with electric vehicle companies and their suppliers.
Scott White stood down as CEO of Pragmatic in 2023 and is now listed as a non-executive director on the board of that company.

In a statement Stephen Bennington, CEO of Q5D Technologies, said of White “Few people have successfully grown a UK manufacturing company from inception through to late stage. His deep understanding of venture markets and experience in scaling a deep-tech manufacturing business will be invaluable in the next stage of Q5D’s growth.”
White commented: “I was drawn to Q5D by its innovative technology and massive market opportunity, addressing a major challenge in manufacturing automation.
