R-Car V3M-based NCAP front camera solution

The starter kit is built around the R-Car V3M image recognition SoC, which has been designed to provide a high performance and low power solution for the NCAP market. The combination of the powerful SoC with software and tools will help developers reduce development effort and get to market quicker.
As well as the starter kit, Renesas also enhanced the R-Car V3M SoC by adding a hardware accelerator to help with the computation of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), which are increasingly used in automotive applications for road detection and object classification. The new hardware accelerator will execute CNNs at much lower power levels than can be achieved with CPUs and GPUs.
