The E-6061 universal radar altimeter test set verifies system accuracy and receiver sensitivity. A full-function test set, the E-6061 is used throughout the development and fielding of radar altimeters. The E-6061 has 128 discreet altitude settings with front panel or remote computer control. It features ultrawide bandwidth, low loss, high isolation, and high dynamic range.

The E-6071 is a portable radar altimeter test set, ideal for flight line testing. The E-6071 is an economical, high-performance turnkey product with three fixed altitudes. It features ultra-wide bandwidth, low loss, high isolation, low noise, and high dynamic range. Other models are available with altitudes up to 5,000 feet.

Both the E-6061 and E-6071 are used to test any and all radar altimeter formats and encryptions including FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave), CDF (Constant Difference Frequency), pulsed or non-pulsed, spread spectrum, frequency hopping, variable power, and LPI (Low Probability of Intercept). The radar altimeter test sets employ fiber optic technology to overcome the shortcomings of conventional schemes including acoustic delays, digital emulators, and coaxial transmission lines. Eastern OptX uses actual system signals with no analog-to-digital (A/D) or digital-to-analog (D/A) conversions, allowing "real world" testing of the entire system. With a wide dynamic range of >110 dB, Eastern OptX radar altimeter test sets are universal altitude replicators that are easy to operate and reliable with high dynamic range.
