The acquisition includes product inventory, customer contracts, supply chain agreements and intellectual property.
Rambus said in a statement that the deal strengthens its position in memory buffer chip products and is supportive of future non-volatile memory initiatives to support processors in the server, networking and data center market.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close during 3Q16. The acquisition will be part of the Rambus memory and interfaces division.
