Raspberry Pi Model 3 Model B+ is now available
The Model B+ board powered by latest Broadcom BCM2837 SoC running at 1.4GHz, which is 10% faster than the inital Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. The quad-core device uses an ARM A53 processor core cluster running the 64-bit ARMv8 instruction set. The processor is capable of handling H.264, MPEG-4 decode (1080p30), H.264 encode (1080p30) and OpenGL ES 1.1, 2.0 graphics. The BCM2837 SoC is supported by 1GB of LPDDR2 SDRAM. A Cypress Semiconductor chip provides dual-band 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz Wi-Fi according to IEEE802.11ac, and Bluetooth 4.1 for BLE.
Gigabit Ethernet over USB 2.0 is included to provide 300Mbps through the board’s four USB 2.0 ports. The 40-pin GPIO header connector is also available for expansion. Audio/video connections include HDMI and MIPI DSI/CSI display/camera ports, as well as a four-pole stereo output and composite video port.
