READY, SET, GO – HiPEAC Conference Toulouse 2023
HiPEAC RACE TRACKS – VISION 2023
The HiPEAC conference 2023 takes place in Toulouse and is presenting the participants with an ambitious Vision document. The document is putting the EU industry on a ‘race track’. HiPEAC vision recognises six races – The race for the ‘Next Web’, the race for ‘AI’, the race for ‘New Hardware’, the ‘Cybersecurity’ race, the ‘sovereignty’ race and the race for ‘sustainability’. This vision document is the first yearly document outlining the challenges and opportunities for the European High Performance Embedded Architecture And Compilation.
In his presentation Max Lemke, Head of Unit if the Directorate-General for Communications Networks of the European Commission is highlighting the race areas mentioned above. As with all EU projects, 2030 is a benchmark year or call it the finish line for a lot of these races. Basically he explains that the ‘ready and set’ has already been shouted to the 540 researchers, students, and developers at the conference.
