The MCU range has a 50-DMIPS RX core and up to 512 Kbyte Flash. Package size has also been increased to up to 100 pins, providing compatibility with Renesas’ RX231/RX230 touch controllers. The MCUs are low-power and feature a sleep mode of 0.37-µA with 4.8 µs recovery period.

A 36-channel capacitive touch sensor is included, which is highly responsive and offers a range of functionality. The MCUs have a 2-channel DAC and 12-bit ADC with a conversion time of only 1.4 μs.

Mouser will also stock a variety of development tools for the MCU range. The RX130 Capacitive Touch Evaluation System can be used to demonstrate the touch functions of the MCU. The kit includes a CPU board, a self-capacitance application board, and a mutual-capacitance application board. The RX130 Starter Kit includes code, Renesas’ Eclipse-based e2 studio IDE and a C/C++ compiler.
