These new, very low-cost 32-bit MCUs feature a current consumption of only 350 nA in the standby mode. RX100 Series MCUs are based on Renesas’ 130 nm, low-power process technology, and are suitable for use in various price-sensitive, low-power applications such as instrumentation, medical and sensor products.
The new MCUs can run at 32 MHz, delivering 1.56 DMIPS/MHz throughput. With 8 KB to 128 KB flash memory, diverse peripheral functions including up to five serial interfaces, high-performance timer unit, fast 12-bit A/D converter, diverse comparators as well as a temperature sensor and their ultra-low current consumption, the new MCUs now offer customers an extremely high-performance yet low-cost alternative to today’s 8-bit MCUs.
