Report indicates rapid rise in small cell shipments
Multiple segments of the small cell market are set to grow by more than 100% during 2016, according to detailed charts provided in the report. Mobile Experts shows that small cells have become a legitimate mainstream solution for mobile infrastructure vendors, and how the barriers to small cell deployment have started to break down due to the maturity of the technology and innovative mobile operator plans.
According to Senior Analyst Kyung Mun, “Emerging suppliers are rising to meet the new demands and technology capabilities of the small cell market, and so out of necessity new business models are materializing as well. Small cells are becoming a more legitimate market space that now constitute a meaningful share of total investment in mobile infrastructure.”
