Vortex Bladeless, a Spanish startup is in the mid of a long journey of the development and production of this new tech from the scratch and to develop a new way of wind power generation. The idea is to use aeroelastic resonance for generating electricity. When wind passes around a structure, vortexes of pressure are created. The frequency of vortexes depends on the wind speed, and if the structure has a similar natural resonating frequency, it begins to oscillate and harness their energy. Inside the structure a set of magnets interacts with a coil, generating the electricity. The technology is easier to maintain and install, uses less material and is more friendly for the environment.
