Rigol spectrum analyzers feature EMI filter and quasi-peak detector updates
This enhancement allows users to perform their own EMI Pre Compliance tests up to 3 GHz. Although the device does not perform exactly like a fully compliant EMC test instrument according to CISPR 16-1-1, it is suitable for all necessary pre-tests. The DSA1030 and DSA1030A models are available with an additional 1.5 GHz tracking generator and an optional VSWR bridge, so they can also be used as a scalar network analyzer.
A built-in pre-amplifier allows up to -148 dBm displayed average noise level (DANL). Standard functions include power measurement, harmonic distortion or TOI. The use of a digital IF, which is standard for all Rigol spectrum analyzers, helps minimize errors due to filter switching and reference level uncertainties; it can even limit errors produced when switching between logarithmic and linear displays of amplitude, which occur when using a spectrum analyser with a traditional analog IF section.
