Rohde & Schwarz links with Bluetest for fast LTE CA OTA measurement solution
The solution consists of the R&S CMWflexx solution from Rohde & Schwarz in combination with Bluetest’s RTS65/RTS95 reverberation chambers and Bluetest Flow measurement software.
During the last two years, the wireless industry has quickly expanded LTE communications capability with LTE-Advanced by introducing LTE carrier aggregation: 2 downlink CC (component carriers) was introduced in 2013, 3 downlink CC in 2014 and 2 uplink CC this year. Rohde & Schwarz and Bluetest have continuously supported LTE-Advanced with their OTA test solution providing measurement capability to match the needs of the industry.
The R&S CMWflexx is specially designed for testing LTE-A with a high number of component carriers and is the latest addition to the R&S CMW500 wideband radio communication tester family . The instrument can be used in all phases of product development and production and supports all common cellular and non-cellular wireless technologies.
With Bluetest’s RTS it is quite easy to add carriers to the test setup. The Bluetest RTS is available with up to eight measurement ports, hence supporting an R&S CMWflexx solution with four MIMO enabled carriers without any external combiners.
