Using state-of-the-art BME MLCC’s, the RoHS TurboCap provides high CV values, low ESR values, high current-carrying capacity and excellent high frequency performance. The rugged devices are also resistant to mechanical stresses incurred during board flexing, vibration or temperature cycling.
The RoHS TurboCap Series capacitors are available in the same X7R dielectric as the standard TurboCap. The stacked capacitors are well suited for DC/DC converters, hybrid vehicles, military/COTS including power supplies, medical electronics equipment, industrial equipment, telecom and alternate energy applications.
The expanded TurboCap Series capacitors are assembled using AVX’s industry proven lead frame technology, which places the ceramic up off the board and dramatically reduces cracking issues as well as susceptibility to shock and vibrations.
