The A19520, A19530 and A19570 magnetic sensors provide speed and direction information and contain EMC protective capacitors. They are based on Allegro’s SolidSpeed Digital Architecture, a mixed-signal architecture that enables the widest possible dynamic range of the air gap, distinguishes vibration and rotation, and provides stray field immunity and adaptive performance.
Each sensor within the product family is equipped with special features. The A19520 is compatible with existing gears due to its high performance and selectable output protocols. It is based on Hall effect technology and a two-wire interface. The A19530 provides advanced signal processing, detects open and shorted connections, and provides selectable output protocols for speed or speed and direction of rotation. It is based on Hall effect technology and a three-wire interface. With GMR (Giant Magnetoresistance) and a two-wire interface, the A19570 offers the same high algorithmic performance as the Hall effect variants, but with significantly larger air gaps and a flexible sensor mounting position.
The sensors have been developed according to an ISO-26262-certified design process for use in transmissions.
