The two ranges were designed to perform complex debugging and signal analysis applications at a cost-effective price. They feature large displays and an intuitive touchscreen user interface to complement their high performance and advanced analysis ability.

The 4 Series MSOs have a 13.3” display with 1920 x 1080 HD resolution. They use 12-bit ADCs to analyse bandwidths from 200MHz up to 1.5GHz. It offers six input channels and Tektronix’ FlexChannel technology, which allows any of the input channels to be converted to eight digital channels through the connection of a logic probe. Further options include serial decode and analysis, arbitrary/function generator and a DVM/frequency counter. The device’s Spectrum View provides time-correlated frequency domain analysis with independent spectrum controls. A power analysis package can automate AC line, switching device, ripple and sequencing measurements.

3 Series MDOs feature an 11.6” HD display in a package under 6” deep. The oscilloscopes can analyse bandwidths from 100MHz to 1GHz. The devices have a built-in spectrum analyser up to 3GHz with a separate RF input and specifications comparable to a standalone analyser. The models in the range offer 2.5-GS/s or 5-GS/s rates on all analogue and digital channels.
