In comparison to a simplex optical fiber cable and connector, the additional glass fiber on the duplex cable can also be used as a built-in obsolescence in mission-critical applications, or to double the data transmission capabilities where required. The new connector boasts an extremely low insertion loss (average under 0.1dB, maximum 0.2 dB). With its IP69K and IP68-rated sealing caps, the connector provides protection against dirt and water ingress (fully submersed up to 2 weeks at 10m). In addition, the Mil-Tac quality cable ensures the connector is suitable for any type of harsh environment where deployment and retrieval for reuse may be required. Featuring a secure 30° twist-lock connection, the 6000 Series Fiber LC Duplex connector accommodates durable mechanical mating. The rugged housing is made from thermo-resistant plastic and measures 32mm in diameter and a maximum of 78.4mm in length.
