With its modular open platform, the IIC MICA can be customised with custom hardware, software and interfaces to suit individual requirements. Measuring 13x8x3.5cm the unit fits on the DIN rail of an electrical cabinet. It can also be installed discreetly and directly at the machine or facility. The front bezel can be customised with the specific connectors. The system is designed for harsh industrial and railway environments, it has no fan and is maintenance-free. It can be used in metallic environments and is resistant to dust, moisture and temperature fluctuations (IP67). Built around a 1GHz ARM processor, 1GB of RAM and 4 GB eMMC flash memory (additionally up to 32GB on a micro-SD card), the IIC MICA enables multiple programs to run in parallel within Linux-based virtual containers which contain all the necessary libraries and drivers for the respective application. A touch-optimised user-interface is implemented entirely in HTML5 and JavaScript and can be customised by developers without any special tools.
