Rutronik adds Holitech Smart Panel PC with face recognition
The Panel PC is a simple solution that can be easily integrated into existing systems.
The front panel of the PC contains the touch display, a 2-megapixel camera, loudspeaker and temperature sensor. Data synchronisation is carried out through bespoke software that runs on an external server that is connected to the MM8 through the network. The server processes the values and, depending on the specifications, appropriate command are returned to the device. To achieve the output of commands to external devices, an RS-232 and Wiegand interface are available.
The system has a recognition time of under half a second. This is down to the binocular infrared camera being highly efficient. The device compares biometric data based on a stored profile. It can even detect changes in the person. The solution can also distinguish Photo and video material from real people to deny unauthorised people access. An intelligent voice output also helps to increase safety. The display can have a secondary function of operating as an information board.
If the MM8 is to be used as an internal access management system, an optional smart card reader is available with a response time of under 0.2 seconds, ISO14443A and cloud connection operate together to provide an efficient way to track presence in real time. A stand-alone version is also available which does not require an external server. It has an internal memory of 8GB, which is enough space to hold the data of over 100,000 people. The USB interface allows easy data extraction for internal analysis.
