
“Safe for the Future” panel discussion returns to Embedded Worldwide
With security growing in importance in every area of the industry, the “Safe for the Future” panel discussion at Embedded World will again be among the most popular of the sessions. The theme of this year’s discussion will be protecting critical infrastructure and will cover all aspects of the security of embedded systems, with a particular focus on protecting networked embedded systems in the IoT era. The discussion will look at the measures that can be undertaken to protect everything from the infrastructure to non-critical applications.
The panel will feature renowned industry experts including Dr Thomas Rosteck, Division President Chip Card & Security, Infineon and Professor Michael Waidner, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology (SIT) in Darmstadt and Birlinghoven. The Panel will be moderated by Professor Axel Sikora, the Scientific Head of the Institute for Reliable Embedded Systems and Communication Electronics at the University of Offenburg and Deputy Institute Director and Area Manager Software Solutions at Hahn-Schickard Gesellschaft für Angewandte Forschung e.V. in Villingen-Schwenningen.
