To spread the use of OLED lighting, futher improvement of luminous efficiency (light extraction efficiency) is a crucial task. By combining the Saint-Gobain Group’s innovative basic research capabilities in this field with NEG’s technology, know-how and knowledge in glass composition/manufacturing process development, the joint venture will manufacturer and provide the world market with high-performance IEL-equipped glass substrate.
NEG has already developed several kinds of substrates for OLED lighting, including , and ultra-thin glass and , a high refractive index glass and is currently proceeding with sample operations. In partnership with Saint-Gobain Group, NEG will offer solutions with the company’s high-performance glass products in the OLED lighting market, which has high growth potential, aiming to expand its business into the field of next-generation lighting.
