Samsung opts for Dialog Semiconductor PMIC to power new Galaxy smartphone platform
Dialog’s D2199 chip provides Samsung with an optimized power management solution that is efficient and offers improved battery management, as well as high-end audio functionality. The features will provide Samsung Galaxy customers with an enhanced user experience and greater convenience. The smaller printed circuit board (PCB) footprint enabled by the high integrated D2199 allows for significant board space savings, resulting in lower manufacturing costs.
Dr. Jalal Bagherli, CEO of Dialog said: "This is the fourth Samsung platform win disclosed by Dialog, and the first of a series of products to be powered by the D2199, with additional products to be announced later this year.
