
Samsung, SK Hynix back Reno Sub-Systems
The round has closed at $11.2 million and takes the amount invested in the company to more than $30 million since it was founded in 2013.
New investors Samsung Venture Investment Corp., Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation and SK Hynix join existing investors Intel Capital, Lam Research and MKS Instruments who also participated in this funding round.
“Our list of strategic investors now includes the venture arms of three of the top five largest semiconductor manufacturers, two out of four of the largest etch tool providers, and a key subsystems supplier,” said Bob MacKnight, CEO of Reno Sub-Systems, in a statement.
