SDK facilitates developing Genivi apps using Bluetooth
Blue SDK RapidLaunch supports the full Genivi Bluetooth API tooling and enables easy handling of complex Bluetooth use cases, promises Rolf Morich, CEO of OpenSynergy. It also accelerates the integration of the existing Blue SDK into Linux and facilitates interaction with applications that make use of Bluetooth communications.
A large numbers of APIs is required to control a Bluetooth stack and its profiles. Blue SDK RapidLaunch consolidates this large number of APIs into a condensed set of powerful, yet simple to use APIs. It handles complex use cases such as concurrent multi-profile use as well as multiple device connections. Moreover, it takes care of the heavy lifting when it comes to Bluetooth development. Blue SDK RapidLaunch provides DBUS object as an option that permit easy access to the Bluetooth API from various application contexts.
The first release of Blue SDK RapidLaunch supports the Bluetooth 4.2 core specification and all the latest Bluetooth profile specifications as well as the GENIVI Bluetooth Common API tool 3.x (based on Linux 4.x).
The BluetoothTM stack Blue SDK and a complete suite of automotive profiles have been preintegrated into Blue SDK RapidLaunch. Blue SDK RapidLaunch comes as source code based product to give customers the maximum of flexibility to configure and modify the software.
