German development tool vendor Segger has ported its J-Link debug probe and Flasher in-circuit programmers to the N32 series MCUs from Nations Technologies in China.

Nations, established in 2000, is focused on general MCU and security ICs and is headquartered in Shenzhen with international branches in Japan, Singapore and USA.

The N32 series MCUs range from an ARM Cortex M0+ running at 80MHz up to an M4 FPU core running at 144MHz with built-in cryptographic algorithm hardware acceleration engine, up to 512KB encrypted Flash memory and 144KB SRAM.

The microcontrollers been used in industrial control, motor drives, battery and energy management, smart meters, medical electronics, automotive electronics, security, biometrics, communication, sensors and machine automation.

“Having a complete, fully-supported, embedded software development and debugging platform, as well as fully-supported, reliable, mass production tools, are critical components for efficient development,” says Xiao Deyin, vice president of Nations Technologies.

“We are thrilled to reach a long-term partnership with SEGGER, enabling our customers to enjoy the quick and efficient user experience of the J-Link Prime service for silicon vendors. J-Link software v7.86 fully supports Nations N32G4xx, N32L4xx, N32WBxx, N32G03x, and other products, which will better serve our domestic and overseas customers.”

“We are very excited to partner with Nations, making the most of their high-performance industrial and automotive-grade MCUs,” says Chen Guowei, Executive Director & General Manager of SEGGER China. “With J-Link Prime, SEGGER makes sure that J-Links and Flashers deliver the best performance possible for the debugging and flash programming of all N32 devices.
