Sensirion partners with Alps-Alpine on sensors

Initially Sensirion AG (Stafa, Austria) will supply humidity and temperature sensor components for Alps Alpine Co. Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan) to include in modules for smart home and industrial applications.

The companies said they intended the cooperation to extend beyond humidity and temperature sensors to encompass a wider range of environmental sensors.

“Combining Alps Alpine’s manufacturing capacity with Sensirion’s proven sensor components means we can offer customers highest quality standards and state-of-the-art humidity and temperature sensing,” said Marc von Waldkirch, CEO at Sensirion, in a statement. Yasuo Sasao, CTO at Alps Alpine, stated: “This co-creative partnership with Sensirion will undoubtedly enhance the value of our products, and it is my hope that the collaborative advantage we are creating makes a difference in the lives of many people.”
