Sensor shield evaluation kit, by Rohm, in distribution
For prototyping and initial set development for IoT and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications, the Sensor Shield removes the hardware and software challenges of switching out sensors, which include:
BDE0600G analogue temperature sensor
BU52014HFV omnipolar hall switch sensor with polarity discrimination
KX122 digital accelerometer
KXG03 digital gyroscope and accelerometer
ML8511A analogue ultraviolet (UV) light sensor
RPR-0521 digital ambient light sensor and proximity sensor
BH1745 digital colour sensor
In addition to these sensors, the board integrates a digital barometric pressure sensor, magnetometer, digital magnetometer and accelerometer, and digital microphone.
The Sensor Shield kit is compatible with many open source platforms, including the Intel Arduino 101 development board and NXP LPCXpresso541xx development tools, allowing engineers to evaluate sensor-based designs for industrial, automotive, connected home, and other applications.
