Seoul Semiconductor introduces high-brightness LEDs for external and stage illumination
With the Z7-F, Seoul Semiconductor meets the demand of a market characterized by a strong increase in demand for high-power LEDs covering the full color spectrum. The Z7-F employs four chips to cover the complete spectrum. It features a high efficiency (R: 75 lm/W, G: 88 lm/W, B 15 lm/W and W 97 lm/W). Beyond this, the integrated lens optimizes the light distribution. Despite its high brightness, the operating current of 700 mA (typ) is only moderate. The extraordinarily small dimensions of the Z7-F package (9x7x3.2mm) simplify mounting and the integration of the illuminant into different luminaries and lighting systems.
"With the introduction of the Z-Power LED Z7-F, we now can meet the demand for particularly bright LEDs with full color spectrum and excellent color mixture for stage and landscape lighting applications," explained Seoul Semiconductor’s managing director Manuel Zarauza. "At the same time, we also offer the Z6 series without lens but also a perfect color mix."
Samples are available now; mass production is scheduled to start by end of August.
