Serdes, retimer vendor Kandou raises US$72 million

Kandou Bus SA (Lausanne, Switzerland) has raised US$72.3 million in a round of venture capital financing.
The fabless company founded in 2011, has now raised US$280 million in support of its chip-to-chip IP licensing and IC product sales.
The company is planning a second close with an additional US$27.7 million in funding later this year to bring the total in the round to US$100 million.
The company said the money raised in the latest round would be used to help roll out the company’s ‘Regli’ range of multiprotocol retimer ICs. Regli is designed to support the PCI Express (PCIe) 5.0 specification and CXL 2.0.
