The company has also introduced a 12-slot backplane PCE-3B12-08 and 13-slot backplane PCE-4B13-08 that provide users with intelligent, high-performance operating platforms. These can serve as controllers of machines/equipment, NVR/DVR servers for video surveillance applications and SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) servers for factory automation.

The ACP-4340 is only 478mm deep, it supports versatile ATX and Micro ATX motherboards, and also supports full-size SHB/SBC. The ACP-4020, while even 25% shorter than the ACP-4340 (350mm in total), supports versatile ATX and Micro ATX motherboards, and also supports half-size SHB/SBC. Both models support a highly efficient switching power supply, and they all include easy-to-maintain cooling fans and dual front USB 3.0 ports. ACP-4340 provides four hot-swap 2.5”/3.5” SAS/SATA HDD trays and one internal 2.5” drive bay, while ACP-4020 provides two 3.5” front-accessible and one 2.5” internal drive bays. With optional HDD mobile rack IDT-3120E, the two front-accessible 3.5” drive bays can be converted to two or even four 2.5” SATA HDD trays, which offer flexible options for data storage. Other data storage choices include one slim-type drive bay for an optical disk drive.

The Intelligent System Module (an unique alarm board) monitors system status such as voltages, temperature, fan speed, to maximize system uptime. Fan speed is controlled according to chassis internal temperature, optimizing system power consumption and minimizing noise. A wide range of standard computing peripherals can be integrated with these chassis to accommodate robust, 24/7 applications in rugged environments.

With intelligent firmware of embedded code built in, the Intelligent System Module can diagnose real-time system status, including system fan, temperature, and voltage. Based on the information from monitoring, the Intelligent System Module could automatically adjust fan speed according to the system/CPU temperature. Realize the optimization between system performance and audible noise. When Advantech SUSIAccess 2.1 utility is installed, the system can be remote monitored, controlled and actively send out alarm messages when error happens, this minimizes system downtime and troubleshooting for efficient management.
