Sidense 1T-OTP memory is made available in ON Semiconductor 180-nm process technology
The licensing agreement will make SLP macros available for use in ON Semiconductor’s Application Specific Standard Products (ASSPs) and for those customers who wish to include OTP IP in ASIC products fabricated by ON Semiconductor. In addition, Sidense will now be able to support its customers who want to use SLP macros and ON Semiconductor’s foundry services. Single SLP macro densities ranging up to 256 kilobits (Kbits) will be available.
“With Sidense’s secure and reliable OTP macros embedded in our products, ON Semiconductor has an added advantage over our competitors in supplying our customers with leading-edge silicon products covering a wide range of applications,” said Bob Klosterboer, ON Semiconductor senior vice president of the Digital and Mixed Signal Product Group. “We chose Sidense’s OTP intellectual property for its low power and small area and also because it doesn’t require any changes or additions to our standard process flow.”
Xerxes Wania, Sidense president and CEO, said: “This relationship will give ON Semiconductor another valuable IP resource for any of its customers who want to use Sidense OTP for secure, reliable and cost effective memory. It will also enable Sidense to support our own customers who want to have ON Semiconductor available as a foundry resource.”
