Siemens Digital Industries Software has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Tianjin Lishen Battery in China.
Lishen Battery will use the Opcenter software from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to establish a battery technology centre. The dedicated facility will be equipped with advanced capabilities for full data traceability and connectivity throughout product research and development as well as the manufacturing process.
The agreement is a key milestone for Lishen’s move to digitalise its long established battery development and manufacturing. Siemens is already working with battery makers ACC, LG and Inobat on digital twins of battery gigafactories to optimise manufacturing process technologies.
