SiFive, Ceva pre-integrate IP for AI offering
The companies are engaging in joint development of SoCs for edge artificial intelligence applications across a range of high-volume markets including smart home, automotive, robotics, security, augmented reality, industrial and IoT.
Ceva is contributing its CDNN neural network software compiler, which creates optimized runtime software for the Ceva-XM vision processors, Ceva-BX audio DSPs and NeuPro AI processors. Ceva will also supply a development platform based on the Ceva-XM and NeuPro.
The work is being done under the SiFive DesignShare program, which allows IP to be licensed to be pre-integrated with RISC-V processors without an up-front payment.
