Sigfox replaces its CEO
French IoT network company Sigfox has shaken up its management with a new CEO and deputy.
Jeremy Prince takes over as CEO of Sigfox Group, moving from president of the US operation, with Franck Siegel as Deputy CEO. The two replace founder Ludovic Le Moan after a restructuring of the networks in Europe.
Prince has been on Sigfox’s Executive Committee since joining the company as Chief Strategy Officer in 2018, and Siegel was brought in at the same time as Chief Delivery Officer (CDO).
“Jeremy’s success and experience in leading companies through the evolution of their business models was a deciding factor in our highly selective process that included several external candidates,” said Anne Lauvergeon, Chairman of Sigfox. “The board is confident that Prince with Franck Siegel as Deputy CEO will efficiently carry out Sigfox’s mission of digitizing the physical world while remaining fully committed to delivering the benefits of IOT in a manner that respects and sustains our environment.”
“I wish the very best to Jeremy and I am confident that he will lead Sigfox to the next level” said Ludovic Le Moan.

The proprietary low power wide area network (LPWAN) technology company has been struggling in recent years, selling off some of its wholly-owned IoT networks to partners in order to raise funds for its cloud operation. It has also been facing increasing competition from LPWAN technology providers such as LoRa.
