Signify to acquire animal-centric lighting experts Once Inc. and iLox
Once and iLox’ focus is in the design and manufacture of animal-centric lighting, with tailor-made lighting systems that enhance livestock production.
“With this acquisition, we add know-how, technology and expertise in animal lighting that complements ours in horticulture lighting. We are very pleased to partner with the teams of Once and iLox to combine our innovations to capture growth,” said Bill Bien, Business Leader Agriculture at Signify.

Once Inc. was founded in 2009 and signed an agreement to acquire Germany-based iLox in 2018, adding sales and service capabilities outside the US. The transactions are expected to close in the second quarter of 2019, without revealing any financial details.
