Silego signs Noonen to drive sales, marketing
Noonen is an experienced executive who has held similar positions with National Semiconductor, prior to its acquisition by Texas Instruments, NXP Semiconductors and Globalfoundries Inc. Most recently Noonen was a board director and interim CEO at Ambiq Micro. He was also the chairman and co-founder of Silicon Catalyst, a semiconductor startup incubator based in
Silicon Valley.
Noonen said he was attracted to the job because of its position in providing configurable mixed-signal circuits. “He will lead the next phase of our growth and promote the widespread adoption of the Silego CMIC platform as the industry choice for mixed-signal design,” said Silego chairman and CEO Ilbok Lee, in a statement.
As well as offering analog ICs and configurable mixed-signal circuits Silego has proprietary technology in the form of the copper-FET or Cu-FET, which it claims provides an advantage when applied to sub-micron power switches.
Silego, founded in 2001, works with TSMC as its main foundry, Noonen said. Silego has operations in Taiwan and additional design and technology centers in China, Korea and Ukraine.
