Silex Insight and Xilinx partner on FPGA hardware security module
As the connectivity of industrial systems and automotive is growing, so is the need for data integrity and system authentication. A very important aspect of this embedded security is a HSM, a security enclave that provides secure key management and cryptographic processing. The HSM IP module is developed, validated and licensed by Silex Insight as an FPGA-based IP solution dedicated to the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC platform. It removes the need for a dedicated HSM device and it incorporates two solutions. The HSM hardware IP is to be implemented in programmable logic and ready to interface with the Zynq UltraScale+ processing system. It comes with a software stack containing the HSM firmware, HSM driver code and an optional interface for allowing AUTOSAR integration. The two companies will continue their collaboration on future solutions designed for secure communication, especially in the enterprise and automotive markets.
