Available in both single- and multi-channel models and offering up to four channels, the ISO/ISL series is designed to perform under both normal and abnormal conditions without releasing energy values that could lead to ignition of a flammable or combustible atmospheric mixture in its most easily ignited concentration.

ISO/ISL series switches feature a fully isolated output which turns on when the control switch input from the hazardous location is closed. The multi-channel series is available with choice of latching or non-latching output. When the control switch input opens, the non-latching isolated output turns off; whereas, the latching series output remains on, so long as control switch input 1 is activated. Single-channel ISO series plug-in devices come equipped with integral spring mating clips which secure the device to the base. The 8-pin socket is also included with Style A plug-in devices.

The Style N, featuring a surface mounted enclosure, is sealed with a high-quality epoxy resin and five #8-32 screw terminals. Single-channel Style (A), Style (N) and multi-channel Style (E) isolated switches are available in both 24 VAC and 120 VAC control voltages. The ISO/ISL series has been tested and approved for listing under Underwriters Laboratories (UL) UL913, under intrinsically safe apparatus and associated apparatus, as both plug-in and base mount devices. Inputs to these switches have been approved for use in all classes, groups and divisions of hazardous locations.
