SiPearl chooses Duisburg for first international operational subsidiary
The company will be the designer of the microprocessor for the European exascale supercomputer.
The site is currently the company’s dedicated R&D center. In future, SiPearl GmbH will also act as the regional hub to provide support for connected mobility and high-performance computing applications. Frank Gorris, previously head of digital design for several 3G to 5G SoC solutions for Intel, will be in charge if the new hub. He is expected to take up the position in June. He will be supported by a team of highly experienced engineers.
The Duisburg location will allow SiPearl to build closer links with its German industrial, scientific and academic partners. SiPearl GmbH will focus specifically on connected mobility applications for the auto industry and high-performance computing applications.
