SiPearl signs major licensing agreement with Arm

The agreement will give SiPearl access to the Arm Neoverse platform, codenamed “Zeusʺ, and also use the software and hardware in the Arm ecosystem. The company plans to use the Arm “Zeus” platform, including Arm’s POP IP, on advanced FinFET technology to accelerate its design and ensure reliability for a very high-end design, in terms of both computing power and energy efficiency. The company aims to launch the first generation of the new microprocessor in 2022.

The 27 academic and industrial members of the European Processor Initiative (EPI) have been selected by the EU to support the development of a European microprocessor on a roadmap closely aligned with the European Union’s goals.
