The 90E32 and 90E36 poly-phase metering ICs feature a dynamic range of 5000:1 (90E32) and 6000:1 (90E36), and proprietary temperature compensation technology.
The devices are fully compliant with international (IEC, ANSI) and Chinese (GB, DL) standards, and can be used for both three-phase four-wire (3P4W) and three-phase three-wire (3P3W) active and reactive energy meters.
In addition, the IDT 90E36 features an on-chip Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) analysis engine with Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) detection and raw analog to digital converter (ADC) data access via a direct memory access (DMA) port.
These features are said to provide added flexibility during the development process and expand the device’s applications to Data Acquisition Terminal (DAT) units and other electrical parameter monitoring instruments.
