Smart vision sensor combines 5Mpixel camera with 700 MHz processor
The module combines a smart camera with a 700MHz processor and a computing power of 5.600 MIPS with a telecentric lens. Lighting is integrated in such a way that the user can choose between three different types of lighting. The standard options are telecentric or dark field illumination and dome illumination providing homogeneous diffuse incident light. Due to the telecentric lens the measuring accuracy is improved, allowing the detection of objects without any perspective distortion. Furthermore the field of vision can be chosen between 7x11mm and 30x40mm. Resolution is variable up to 5 megapixel. The MicroEye offers a freely programmable 100 MB Ethernet interface which allows for a live video output on a PC. It comes in a 150x100x60mm housing. Manufacturer EVT complements the unit with the EyeVision Software, allowing users to solve even complex applications through a graphical commands.
