The smartphone connects to the e-bike (or e-scooter) through a Bluetooth dongle installed in the vehicle. The active part is an app that monitors the batteries and feeds the battery data to the Comodule Analytics platform. The results are visualized in the smartphone navigation system to inform the driver about the remaining driving range. In addition, it provides a data interface for maintenance purposes. BMZ also intends to use the data from the platform as a feedback channel to improve its own products; goals are reducing design cycles and knowing better customer’s needs.
