SMD inductors facilitate tuning of microwave circuits
Manufactured by Yantel Corporation, these patented tunable inductors feature an aluminium core with a tuning slot on top for easy adjustment using a non-metallic screwdriver. High Q values and excellent stability at high temperatures make the devices suitable for a wide variety of commercial, medical and military applications, including impedance matching, phase shifting, and the tuning of antennas, filters or resonant circuits.
They come in three package sizes of 5.0 x 5.0 x 3.0mm, 4.2 x 4.2 x 3.0 mm and 3.0 x 3.0 x 3.0mm, with typical current ratings of 3.5, 2.1 and 1.7 A respectively. Available inductance values range from 2.5 to 75.0 nH. Utilising tin-over-copper terminations, the inductors are fully RoHS compliant and have an operating temperature range of -40 to 125ºC.
