Micropower Direct has launched a 1W DC-DC converter family in a miniature surface mount case for board level power distribution applications.
The ML100E series has forty one standard models, operating from 3.3, 5, 12 & 24 VDC inputs, providing outputs of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15, 24, ±5, ±9, ±12, ±15 or ±24 VDC. Standard features include short circuit protection, input/output isolation of 1,500 VDC, 85% efficiency and operation over the wide temp range of -40°C to +105°C. Isolation is 1.5kV. The MTBF of the ML100E series (per MIL HDBK 217F) is greater than 3.5 Mhours. All models are RoHS compliant.
The ML100E family is packaged in a miniature, SMT case measuring 13.2 x 8.5 x 7.0mm with an industry standard pin out. All models are available on tape/reel for use with automated production equipment. Operation for all models is specified over the wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 105°C (to 100°C with no derating) with no heat sink required. Cooling is by free-air convection.
