SnapMagic has released over 3500 computer-aided design (CAD) models for Harwin high reliability connectors to help engineers develop boards faster.
The CAD models include schematic symbols and PCB footprints and follow industry standards as well as SnapMagic’s internal standards. All the component libraries are approved by Harwin and have undergone a rigorous quality assurance process enabled by SnapMagic’s automated verification technology.
The models are available in over 15 PCB design formats including Altium, OrCAD and Allegro, KiCad, Autodesk Fusion 360 and EAGLE and Proteus, and can be downloaded from SnapMagic and are also available for download on the Harwin website via the SnapMagic CAD Viewer.
The models are also available through the SnapMagic Syndication Network partners, which includes DigiKey, Mouser, RS Components, DesignSpark, and over 30 more partners.
Harwin makes high-performance board-to-board and board-to-cable connectors and associated components and accessories for high-reliability environments in the UK. The company’s technologies are deployed in applications ranging from submarines to satellites, industrial automation to uncrewed vehicles, and medical equipment to automotive electronics.
“Harwin aims to support engineers with best-in-class tools and services that simplify and speed the selection and deployment of our advanced interconnect technologies,” says Peter Schneid, Harwin’s VP of Marketing. “The partnership with SnapMagic and the integration of the E-CAD tools on our website plays a key role in supporting that goal by providing reliable and integrated data that makes application design and development significantly easier.”
“Both Harwin and SnapMagic believe that engineers shape the future. By supporting and enabling engineers, our new partnership speeds up the design of new products that improve our world faster than ever,” said Natasha Baker, the CEO and Founder of SnapMagic.
