SoftKinetic and Dynamixyz partner on facial motion capture
This new technology, using SoftKinetic’s DepthSense 325 3D camera, will capture subtle 3D facial gestures in real time for more nuanced and realistic computer animation.
The 4D facial motion capture will be released early next year as a part of Dynamixyz’ Performer Suite, an award-winning video-based facial capture and analysis solution that delivers unsurpassed raw animation, and unique real-time capability, with time-efficient annotation and highly accurate tracking. SoftKinetic will lend its DepthSense 325 camera to the solution, integrating through a lightweight, head-mounted camera safe for the eyes and capable of capturing gestures as close as 25 centimeters, at 60 frames-per-second.
