Software-Defined 10GHz handheld analyser for RF test
Keysight has used a software defined architecture to fit 20 RF vector network analyser and spectrum analyser options into a rugged handheld unit.
The FieldFox C-model handheld analyser offers the 20 options for upgrade and download in the software defined architecture via a licensing key. This enables engineers to pay only for the capabilities they need on a single, rugged handheld analyser that provides accurate, comprehensive spectrum and network analysis from 10GHz down to 3 kHz.
Field engineers conduct routine maintenance on and troubleshoot RF, microwave, and millimeter wave (mmWave) systems. During their work, they need to accurately measure a variety of devices or signals, including cables, antennas, and over-the-air (OTA) signals, to ensure robust signal quality and uninterrupted service. To make all of these crucial measurements in the field, engineers need multiple expensive network and spectrum analysers as well as flexible equipment that can meet rapidly emerging test and measurement challenges.
The Keysight N9912C FieldFox Handheld Analyser enables engineers to mix-and-match software applications for their specific analysis needs on a single, handheld device. As a truly software-defined instrument, the FieldFox N9912C is fully upgradable with license-key activated maximum frequencies, analyser types, bandwidths, and software applications.
The FieldFox C-model provides a mix of VNA, cable and antenna tester (CAT) and SA tools by enabling engineers to choose only the capabilities they need for their work in the field.
