Software enables simultaneous Bluetooth and Sub-GHz communications
The’ new Wireless Gecko hardware and software solutions allow users to install, control and manage sub-GHz IoT devices directly over Bluetooth. The combination of BLE connectivity and sub-GHz wireless allows easier delivery of new features, such as over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Proprietary sub-GHz protocols are often used in low-data-rate systems, from simple point-to-point connections to large mesh networks and low-power wide area networks (LPWAN). Sub-GHz connectivity is also a good fit for long-range wireless sensor networks, smart metering, building automation and commercial lighting. The new Wireless Gecko software makes it easy to add BLE connectivity to these applications.
