With PREEvision 9.0, developers can now model their E/E systems according to Autosar Adaptive: Whether designing service interfaces and applications, instantiating services or describing Ethernet communication via SOME/IP – the current version offers them comprehensive functions. Import and export functions for the Adaptive System Description and other work products of the new Autosar generation facilitate data exchange.

As modeling tools for service-oriented architectures, PREEvision 9.0 provides additional SysML and UML diagrams: For example, users use the class diagram to model interfaces and data types; the status diagram graphically illustrates how a system works. The two new diagrams complement the block, package and use case diagrams already available.

In addition to Autosar Adaptive, PREEvision 9.0 supports the schema of Autosar Classic 4.3 and its concepts for Ethernet communication, V2X and central server architectures. If users want to switch to the new generation step by step, they can use Autosar Classic and Autosar Adaptive in parallel in PREEvision. In addition, PREEvision 9.0 brings further innovations such as variant management according to Autosar, a REST API for displaying model data in web clients, and improved process support: Users can now check, discuss and vote on requirements and other model artifacts directly in PREEvision.

PREEvision is the tool for model-based electrics/electronics development from architectural design to series production. The software supports architects, network designers, development and test engineers in the entire development process. PREEvision offers comprehensive functions for classic and service-oriented architecture development, requirements management, communication design, security-related system design, Autosar system and software design and wiring harness development.
