The IMX224LQR and IMX225LQR provide 1305 by 977-pixel resolution and pursue picture quality at low illumination levels. The IMX224LQR has a wide dynamic range (WDR) capability while the IMX225LQR does not.
In addition, a minimum subject illumination of 0.005 lx or less is achieved by mounting an internal programmable gain amplifier that can support up to 72 dB. Superior performance as image sensors for industrial applications is achieved by combining new WDR technology with technology that improves sensitivity in the near infrared light region.

The IMX224MQV is essentially the same CMOS image sensor specified for automotive cameras. The low light condition of 0.005 lux is equivalent to a cloudy moonless night. The IMX224MQV is set to become Sony’s first image sensor for automotive cameras to meet the requirements of the AEC-Q100 electronic component reliability tests.
